High School Math Teacher – Grades 9-12The Waterville School District is seeking an outstanding, certified Math Teacher for Waterville Senior High School. Qualifications include a strong commitment to student learning, excellent communication skills, and demonstrated experience in effective math instruction. The successful candidate will teach a range of mathematics courses. Experience with Advanced Placement (AP) instruction is preferred, but not required. The ideal candidate builds strong, positive relationships with students, fosters an inclusive and supportive classroom environment, and uses current best practices to deliver engaging, rigorous math instruction.
Candidates should be passionate about connecting with students and helping them see the relevance of mathematics through real-world applications.
This is a school-year position that follows school-day hours and school vacations—an ideal schedule for working parents or those who value work-life balance aligned with the academic calendar.

- Perform other duties as assigned by administration.
- Valid Maine teaching certification in Math (or ability to obtain).
- Bachelor's from an accredited college or university in education discipline applicable to teaching assignments (Master's preferred).
- Successful prior teaching experience preferred.
