Waterville Public Schools is seeking a Physical Science Teacher to inspire students through engaging, hands‑on learning and real‑world scientific exploration. The successful candidate will create a positive classroom environment, support student achievement, and collaborate with colleagues to meet the needs of all learners. Appropriate Maine certification is required.

• Teach high school Chemistry and Physics.
• Develop and implement lessons that are relevant, culturally responsive, and aligned with Maine Learning Results.
• Foster meaningful connections with students to support their overall well‑being and academic success.
• Create a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued.
• Use a variety of instructional strategies and assessments to meet diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues, counselors, and school staff to support students.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned by administration.

• Valid Maine teaching certification in physical science (or ability to obtain).
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an education discipline applicable to teaching assignments (Master's preferred).
• Successful prior teaching experience preferred.
