Visiting Assistant Professor (one-year, 2026–27 academic year)
Department: Science, Technology, and Society (STS), Colby College.
Teaching ResponsibilitiesTeaching load includes:
- Introduction to STS
- STS Methods
- Advanced Topics in STS (senior seminar)
- One upper-level elective fulfilling the "Technoscience, Ethics, Justice" requirement
Colby values active learning and inclusive teaching. Candidates are encouraged to collaborate with campus centers in AI, public policy, entrepreneurship, and human rights.
Qualifications- PhD expected by September 1, 2027
- Ability to teach and conduct research in STS with a critical, multidisciplinary perspective on science and technology
- Engagement with Colby’s initiatives in AI, data science, engineering, public health, and liberal arts
