We are seeking a reliable and student-centered Noon Duty Ed Tech I to support a safe and positive school environment during lunch and recess periods. This role involves supervising students, encouraging respectful behavior, and assisting with transitions to and from the cafeteria and playground. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, communicates effectively, and is committed to promoting a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all students.
The city of Waterville is located on the banks of the Kennebec River and is easily accessible from two exits off I-95 as well as Route 201. The Noon Duty Position
This is a part-time position that works as part of a team to provide a safe recess and lunch experience for students during designated times.
- School year position, 11:00 am – 1:15 pm daily
- Grade levels: kindergarten through third grade

- Supervising students and maintaining a positive, cooperative atmosphere.
- Reinforcing school, recess, and cafeteria expectations in a proactive, supportive manner.
- Modeling and encouraging respectful, responsible behavior.
- Developing and maintaining professional, collaborative relationships with colleagues.
- MDOE Educational Technician 1 certification (or eligible)
- Relevant education, credentials, and work experience
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong initiative and willingness to work independently
- Able to work and communicate effectively with students, teachers, and visitors
- Cooperative, patient, and respectful of the beliefs, opinions, and confidentiality of others
