KVCAP is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our nonprofit organization as its Chief Financial Officer. The CFO is responsible for the oversight and leadership of the Finance Department and its resources, reporting directly to the CEO as a key member of the executive leadership team. The role involves representing the organization in the community, with funders, the Board of Directors (including providing direct support to the Board Finance Committee), and banking institutions.

The CFO will foster a progressive and visionary environment concerning financial planning and awareness, and provide leadership in advancing the organization’s financial strategic direction to ensure resources are managed in the most beneficial way.

• Oversee and lead the Finance Department.
• Report financial status and strategic insights directly to the CEO.
• Represent KVCAP to community stakeholders, funders, the Board of Directors, and banking partners.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures in line with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Provide direct support to the Board Finance Committee.
• Lead grant management and financial stewardship of organizational resources.
• Interpret complex financial data for a range of audiences and communicate findings effectively.
• Manage financial change and decision-making in a growing organization.

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, business, fiscal management, or a related field.
• CPA license preferred (but not required).
• Extensive non‑profit financial management experience.
• Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Practices.
• Grant management experience.
• Outstanding communication skills (written, oral and interpersonal).
• Ability to interact positively with staff, peers, senior leadership, external audit team, and the Board of Directors.
• Ability to interpret complex financial data concisely to a range of different audiences.
• Positive, solution‑oriented mindset and a record of successfully making decisions involving complex accounting and financial issues.
