** Coordinates activities and flow of work for an assigned function, unit or area within the Sterile Processing and Distribution area.##

Job Description:

** What You'll Do:
*** Prioritizes multiple tasks and projects to ensure timely completion. Delegates and assigns work commensurate with knowledge, skill and experience, and ensures the work is performed appropriately.
* Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to assist with problem identification and resolution, cost containment issues, implementation of new services, and systems/performance measures.
* Facilitates the development, implementation and evaluation of program or area services and initiatives, including training on product usage, maintenance and infection control.
* Serves as a resource to staff regarding departmental/area policies, procedures and services regarding decontamination, processing, selection and distribution of medical products. Performs functions of underlying job.
** What You'll Bring:
*** Certification as Certified Registered Sterilization Technician **(CRCST)
** through HSPA (Healthcare Sterile Processing Association)
*** or
* ** as Sterile Processing & Distribution Technician **(CSPDT)
** through The Certificate Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution, Inc. (CBSD) required.
* Certified Endoscope Reprocessor **(CER)** - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA)
*** or
* ** Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor **(CFER)** - Certification Board for Sterile Processing Certification Board (CBSPD) required.
* Certified Healthcare Leader **(CHL)** - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA)
*** or
* ** The Certificate Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution, Inc. (CBSD) required within 2 years.
* Certified Instrument Specialist **(CIS)** - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) required.
