The Chief Technology Officer provides executive leadership for Kennebec Behavioral Health’s information technology, data, and digital strategy. This role is accountable for ensuring continuity & security of computer and information services throughout the agency to effectively support clinical care delivery, operational performance, regulatory compliance,and strategic growth.

The CTOis responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing the technical strategy and coordination across the organization. The CTO serves as a key member of theSenior

Leadership teamand reports to the CEO.The role is totranslateorganizational priorities into scalable, secure, and sustainable technology solutions.

The CTO has supervisory responsibility for all staff assigned to the IT department.

Requirements for the Chief Technology Officer:
  • BS degree, in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent education/experience in the computer science field
  • 10 + years recent experience in computer and network operations management with at least 5 years in a leadership position, preferably in healthcare, behavioralhealthor similar industry
  • Experience leading teams, managing budgets, and guiding organizational change
  • Extensive experience with personal computers and software applications,MS Office,EMRsystemsandnetwork and cloud-based solutions
  • Executive leadership and strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence across clinical, operational, financial, and technical teams
  • Creative and persistent problem-solving ability
  • Ability totranslateorganizational needs into practical, actionable strategies and solutions
  • Systems level thinking with the ability to understand interdependence andanticipatethebroader impact of technology and data decisions
  • Ability to translate business and clinical needs into technical solutions and explain complex concepts to non-technical leaders
  • Strong analytical capability, including the ability to interpret financial, operational, and performance data to inform decisions
  • Knowledge of healthcare information systems, data governance, privacy, and security requirements, including HIPAA
  • Proven ability to prioritize and oversee complex initiatives, balancing competing priorities, risks, and resources
  • Collaborative leadership style with a focus on clarity, accountability, and long-term sustainability
Responsibilities of the Chief Technology Officer:
  • Collaborate with senior managers toidentifyprogram priorities, goals andobjectivesrelated to information technology, data, and security
  • Provide strategic advice and recommendations to the CEO and senior leadership team on technology investments, risks, opportunities, and functions related to technology
