We're looking for another member to add to our Housekeeping Team! The AYCC is looking for someone who takes pride in a job well done, enjoys keeping things in tip-top shape, and doesn't mind getting their hands a little dirty. From keeping buildings sparkling to helping prepare for special events and tackling maintenance projects, you'll play an important role in creating a clean, welcoming, and safe environment for everyone who walks through our doors.

Essential Functions:

• Maintain the cleanliness of the building, utilizing custodial tools and cleaning products, according to schedule.
• Acquire knowledge of cleaning chemicals, their uses, and hazards. Understand SDS.
• Understand the proper operations of auto scrubbers and other custodial tools.
• Understand building activities and Facilities support of these functions.
• Assist in preparations for special events and programs.
• Become familiar with the Alfond Youth Center's Safety protocols to ensure a healthy and safe working environment.
• Representative of the organization both on campus and off.
• May be asked to receive deliveries.
• May be assigned to off-site properties in support of the organization's mission.

Knowledge/Education/Certification:

• High school graduate or GED equivalency preferred.
• Additional education in technical or vocational school would be beneficial.
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning supplies, tools, machines, and equipment.

Experience:

• Prior employment as a custodian, janitor, or maintenance person is desired.

Skills & Competencies:

• Friendly positive attitude and some customer service skills.
• Temperament and tolerance for a job that seems never done.
• Attention to detail to ensure cleanliness of building.
• Ability to work alone or with others in support of the team.

Work Schedule:

• Variable as assigned. May include days, nights and weekends.
• Part time at a maximum of 20 hours per week
