$18.00 - $19.00 per hour plus performance bonuses and free tanning.

Sun Tan City is one of the largest family‑owned tanning salon chains with about 250 salons in 20 states. It is part of Glow Brands, which also includes Planet Fitness and Buff City Soap. Headquarters are in Louisville & Elizabethtown Kentucky, with over 350 locations and 2,200 employees.

The Assistant Salon Director maintains a high‑energy, client‑centric environment, drives store performance, supervises tanning consultants, and ensures operational excellence.

• Monitor and manage daily salon operations in a fast‑paced environment.
• Lead by example, create a client‑centric experience, and meet sales expectations.
• Maintain a professional, clean salon environment.
• Establish clear goals and objectives for team members.
• Provide coaching, training, and feedback to improve performance.
• Generate sales reports, maintain inventory, and assist with other director functions.
• Assist the Salon Director in controlling top‑line revenue and expenses.
• Ensure proper staffing levels to maximize productivity and service while controlling labor costs.
• Work nights, Saturdays, and Sundays as required for management coverage.
• Travel to the bank as needed.
• Work five days a week, approximately 40‑45 hours depending on status.

• College education preferred, but not required.
• Management and/or sales experience required.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Effective management in fast‑paced, multitasking environments.
• Knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.
• Problem‑solving and organizational/planning skills.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring abilities.
• Team‑building skills.
• Ability to prioritize and delegate.

• Stand and walk for long periods.
• Bend at waist to clean tanning equipment.
• Lifting or assisting with heavy objects.
• Bend down to pick up trash, towels, etc.
• Perform salon cleaning functions: dusting, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing.
