Position Summary
Leads and develops teams effectively by providing training, coaching, and feedback. Oversees store operations, utilizes technology and business initiatives, and drives financial performance. Models exceptional customer service, resolves complaints, and implements process improvements to enhance the customer experience.
Responsibilities- Teach and train associates, actively listen during store tours, and provide constructive feedback.
- Communicate and collaborate with all levels of staff regarding operations, technology, and merchandising.
- Implement and lead company change efforts, set clear expectations, and guide teams to business objectives.
- Model and demonstrate the One Best Way (OBW) service model to ensure high‑quality customer service.
- Resolve customer complaints and develop action plans to correct deficiencies.
- Review and evaluate profit‑loss statements, manage budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Oversee merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes.
- Develop and implement shrink mitigation and sales initiatives to meet profit goals.
- Supervise and develop hourly associates: hire, train, mentor, provide recognition, and set expectations.
- Build and maintain stakeholder relationships to achieve customer and business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethics, and the Open Door Policy.
- Promote a culture of belonging, foster diversity, and support team empowerment.
- Act with integrity, promote sustainability, and make decisions based on data and community impact.
- Drive continuous improvement, adopt new technologies, and support others through change.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years of college coursework; OR 1 year of retail experience plus 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience plus 1 year of supervisory experience.
- For facilities selling firearms: successful completion of a firearms‑specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.
- For facilities selling only ammunition with state requirements: current state‑issued Certificate of Eligibility.
- Required to attend and complete all job‑required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy, Open Door).
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U or Bellevue University.
- Experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
Competitive base salary ranging from $65,000.00 to $, with additional performance bonuses and potential regional pay zone adjustments. Benefits include medical, vision, dental, 401(k), PTO, parental leave, disability, life insurance, and education support through the Live Better U program.
Salary and Compensation- Base salary: $65,000.00 – $.
- Performance bonuses: annual or quarterly.
- Additional compensation may include Regional Pay Zone adjustments and complexity structures.
