The Role:
Evening Nurse Supervisor, Emergency Department Provides nursing leadership for a nursing unit/department during assigned shift.

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Supervisor position in our Emergency Department.

This is a full time, exempt position with a weekday, evening schedule with variable hours that will include call. The Evening Supervisor will work in Waterville & Augusta at both ED Campuses.
The Work:
Provides leadership, coaching, and mentoring to staff. Responds to staff requests for assistance with providing or managing direct patient care in complex or difficult matters.
Determines, coordinates, and monitors the flow of patients between units to maximize the use of the organization's resources and meet service level objectives.
Evaluates the effectiveness of patient care and identifies any issues that affect desired patient outcomes. Coordinates patient care services with staff, physicians, and other departments.
Responds to complaints/conflicts and manages through established channels. Makes administrative decisions in the absence of the Department Manager/Director.
You Have:
Active Maine RN licensure or ability to obtain same in a timely fashion, required
BSN, preferred
Clinical expertise in ED nursing or Intensive Care nursing, with at least 5 years as staff nurse with supervisory/charge nurse experience, preferred
Excellent leadership, effective communication and autonomous critical thinking skills
Ablility to deal with complex management problems and communicate with staff & physicians in a collaborative fashion
Ability to build rapport by working along-side staff as needed
