Job Summary

Provides primary or acute healthcare services for certain acute or chronic health conditions in specific populations in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

Job Title:

Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate at Elmwood Primary Care, a hospital‑employed outpatient family medicine practice located in Waterville, Maine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive primary care to patients across the lifespan.
  • Manage your own patient panel with autonomy and support.
  • Deliver team‑based care in coordination with interdisciplinary groups.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including medical staff, care managers, psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners, and licensed clinical social workers.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Qualifications
  • NP or PA certification.
  • Maine medical licensure (or eligibility).
  • Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
  • Commitment to compassionate, patient‑centered care.
  • New graduates with substantial related experience will be considered.
  • Certification:
    Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) recognized by the Maine State Board of Nursing.
