Job Description

The Department of Addiction Medicine at Maine General Medical Center is looking for motivated and compassionate Nurse Practitioners to join the team. Since its inception in February 2021, the overarching goal has been to provide low‑barrier, evidence‑based care for patients with substance use disorder. Candidates with direct experience in addiction treatment are welcomed but not explicitly required; on‑the‑job training will be provided as needed.

The ideal candidate shares our harm‑reduction philosophy and believes that treating patients with dignity, respect, and empathy leads to better retention and outcomes.

Work Schedule

Scheduled weekly hours: 40. Scheduled work shift: 40 hours per week.
