Overview
Position Summary...
Responsibilities- Ensure financial sustainability by compiling and reporting budget information, requesting replacement HVACR equipment for facilities, submitting warranty claims, reviewing journals and invoices, conducting price comparisons of refrigerant parts and travel-related costs, and developing scopes of work for projects (e.g., rooftop units, condenser coil replacements).
- Complete work assignments and priorities in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) service by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with management, coworkers, customers, and other business partners; identify HVACR priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carry out tasks and communicate progress and information.
- Determine and recommend ways to address improvement opportunities; adapt to change, difficulties, and feedback; ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local HVACR regulations and guidelines (e.g., building codes, indoor air quality, cold chain requirements) by conducting inspections and making repairs.
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Environmental Protection Agency regulations and guidelines by performing work according to practices and procedures in the Walmart HVACR safety policy and environmental guidelines; reclaim ozonedepleting refrigerants.
- Provide required paperwork by completing and submitting forms (e.g., expense vouchers, summaries, refrigerant logs, work orders).
- Ensure available resources for HVACR maintenance and repair by managing refrigerant levels and parts inventory; recording HVACR purchases and usage; tracking, ordering HVACR parts; developing relationships with HVACR parts suppliers and contractors.
- Ensure working order of HVACR and EMS and direct digital control by troubleshooting, diagnosing, maintaining and repairing equipment; performing major and minor preventive maintenance; managing district workloads with external service providers.
- Demonstrate up-to-date expertise and apply it to develop, execute, and improve action plans; provide expert advice and guidance to others in applying information and best practices; support and align efforts to meet customer and business needs; build commitment for perspectives and rationales.
- Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships with key stakeholders; identify business needs; determine and carry out necessary processes and practices; monitor progress and results; recognize and capitalize on improvement opportunities; adapt to competing demands and organizational changes.
- Model compliance with company policies and procedures; support mission, values, and ethics; apply open-door policy in executing business processes; respect individuals and foster a culture of belonging; act with integrity and accountability; serve customers and members with an omnichannel mindset and cost-conscious approach.
- Act with integrity by following the law, code of conduct, and company policies; encourage others to do the same; support a non-retaliation environment and take action on concerns raised by associates.
- Minimum Qualifications: Vocational or Technical HVAC/R certification and 2 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls, OR 4 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls or related field. Type I/Type II EPA Certification for Refrigerant handling.
- Preferred Qualifications: Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical HVAC/R program;
Mechanical license in the city/state where the job is located.
