Associate - Seed Packing Operations - Weekday Shift

Position Summary

Johnny's is seeking a Full‑Time Operations Associate I for the Day Shift. This position will primarily involve working in the Seed Packing department but requires cross‑training and work in the Shipping, Warehouse, and Inventory departments as needed. The ideal candidate is self‑motivated and has excellent organizational skills.

Standard hours for Day Shift are Monday through Friday, 5:50 am–2:20 pm. Overtime may be required depending on production needs. Starting pay for Day Shift is $17.51 per hour.

Pack seed into commercial and consumer sizes using various hand or mechanical means. Must be comfortable in a repetitive process environment, follow detailed instructions, and use basic computer skills. Familiarity with conversions of ounces/pounds into grams is required. Tasks may also include assembling kits and products and processing bulk seed orders for commercial purposes weighing between 50 and 70 pounds.

Cross‑train to perform tasks such as locating incoming material in stockrooms, using inventory systems, rearranging material, shrink‑wrapping, and labeling. Assist receivers with sampling, labeling, or receiving; support cycle counters with locating and weighing. Report any problems or shortages to supervisor or lead. Support daily order shipments by gathering, checking, packing, shipping, stocking, and performing other duties as needed. Use handheld units for accurate inventory picking and tracking and prepare inventory for the shipping department.
