37 hours per week – At Watford Community Housing, we provide vital services that help people to live better lives. We're looking for an experienced electrician to join our in‑house repairs team and help us deliver a high‑quality repairs and maintenance service to our residents.
What’s the role?As part of our Gateway Repairs Team (GRT), you will deliver effective high‑quality installation, repair, and maintenance services to our customers. You will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of works from a pre‑allocated appointment system. You will work closely with the team leader, escalating any concerns or queries regarding your works.
What are we looking for?You will be customer‑focused, with the ability to interact empathetically with a wide variety of people. You will have the ability to accurately complete reports – both hand‑written paperwork and on handheld devices/PDAs. You will be well‑organised and able to work well as part of a team.
QualificationsEssential:
- 18th Edition qualification (or 17th Edition working towards 18th)
- NVQ level 3 (2356 / 2357)
- 2360/2330/2365 or part 1 & 2 qualification
- 2391 or 2394/5 inspection and testing
- You will need to hold a full, clean UK driving licence
- Maintain a satisfactory basic‑level DBS check.
Desirable:
- AM2
- Knowledge/experience of the housing sector
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel

Working hours are Monday – Friday, 8am – 4:30pm (out‑of‑hours call‑out is also available if desired).
