This position is for a qualified, building services electrical engineer who can carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive/repair works on the building services plant in our Watford Atria site.
Location: Atria Shopping Centre, Watford
Hours: 40 hours per week, 5 out of 7 days, Weekends and Call outs on a Rota basis, currently 1 in 4.
Shift Patterns (Mon - Fri)
Early shift: 7.30am - 16.30pm
Mid Shift: 8.30am - 17.30pm
Late shift: 09.30am - 18.30pm
Sat – 8.30AM to 6.30PM
Sun – 10.30AM to 5.30PM

- Carry out planned preventative maintenance in accordance with the HVAC specification and annual maintenance programme.
- Ensure engineering standards are maintained to maximize the operation effectiveness and reliability of the plant and associated systems.
- Ensure company QA and site procedures are adhered to in all aspects.
- Follow Company & Site, Health & Safety procedures at all times.
- Maintain accurate site records/documentation in association with all site works.
- Inspect services, proactively address callouts/repairs as required, and as requested by management.
- Attend site emergencies, outside of normal working hours.
- Work within typical plant room environments and at high levels, including using platforms and ladders. All access and PPE will be provided.
- Maintain all company issued tools in a safe and serviceable manner.
- Proactively work towards the continued success and support of the contract with a positive approach.
- Complete any other associated tasks requested by management.
- City & Guilds Electrical Installation / Maintenance
- IEE 18th Edition
- MEWP or IPAF certificate 3a & 3b
- Proven mechanical/electrical skills in all aspects of Building Services
- In-depth knowledge of building services with the ability to fault find and resolve problems
- Sound Judgment and examples of logical problem solving
- Previous experience of working within a team in a maintenance environment
- Competent working knowledge of all aspects associated with building services (Fire Alarm systems, BMS, Mains Switchgear, Air handling units, heating and ventilation, pumps, calorifiers, CWS and HWS systems)
- Experience with 3 phase power
- C&G inspection & testing
- Health & Safety qualification
- BMS controls
- Pump Types
- Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning knowledge
- Basic Plumbing skills
- Proven experience working a team
- Air conditioning experience
- Water treatment regimes
- Health and Safety training
- GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent
- Generators
- Building management systems knowledge
- Electrical competence
