Domestic Gas Engineer – Watford

Example Recruitment Group is partnering with a well‑established national heating contractor specialising in the local authority sector. We seek a qualified Domestic Gas Engineer to cover the Watford area. The successful candidate will carry out servicing, repairs, and maintenance within domestic social housing properties on a Housing Association contract.

• Carry out annual Gas Safety Checks (LGSR)
• Fault finding and repairs on central heating systems
• Deliver a high level of customer service, ensuring tenants receive excellent care
• Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations, including Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work, and COSHH records

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience with gas qualifications
• Extensive experience in servicing boilers and gas appliances, with strong fault‑finding, diagnostic, and repair skills
• In‑date ACS qualifications, including CKR1 & HTR1
• Full UK driving licence
• Clean criminal record; DBS check to be carried out upon offer of employment

• £40,000 per year, with OTE £50,000+ per annum
• 42.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday); overtime and weekend work available at enhanced rates
• Van, tools, PPE/uniform, and PDA provided
• Out-of-hours call‑out rota (1 week in

• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
