Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am-4pm.

Role Description:

Volt Fire and Security are seeking for an experienced

Fire Alarm installation and service engineer to join our growing team. The role is a full-time, on-site role based in Watford and surrounding areas. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining and fault finding on both conventional and addressable Fire Alarm systems. The role involves collaborating with internal engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure systems are compliant, effective, and integrated with broader security solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installing Fire Alarm systems in commercial and industrial buildings.
  • Carrying out routine inspection, testing, servicing and maintenance of Fire Alarm systems.
  • To read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams and system specifications.
  • To Liaise with customers, site managers and contractors to explain work completed and provide technical advice.
  • To be able to work with plastic and galvanised conduit.

Job Requirements:

  • Full UK Driving License.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience with Fire Alarm systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Fire Alarms, and associated detection and control equipment.
  • The ability to work with Advanced, Kentec, Haes, Gent, CTEC and Fike Panels
  • Ability to read and produce technical drawings, specifications, and reports, with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Positive, professional attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
