Are you an experienced Vehicle Technician seeking a role that offers independence, variety, and excellent career prospects?

Our client, a well-established nationwide fleet maintenance company, is currently recruiting for a Mobile Vehicle Technician to join their team covering Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and Berkshire.

This opportunity is ideal for skilled professionals looking to work outside of traditional workshop settings, focusing on roadside assistance, fleet servicing, and specialised DPF work.

  • Competitive basic salary of up to £40,000, with an OTE of £45,000
  • 5-day working week from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday
  • 1-in-2 Saturdays with a day off in lieu

Duties of the Mobile Vehicle Technician:
  • Carry out roadside assistance and fleet maintenance across Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and Berkshire
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues efficiently on-site and on the road
  • Perform specialist DPF work, including servicing, repairs, and replacements
  • Conduct routine inspections, diagnostics, and general vehicle maintenance
  • Use hand and power tools to carry out repairs and installations
  • Maintain accurate records of all work completed
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and procedures
  • Collaborate with team members to optimise operational efficiency as a Mobile Vehicle Technician
  • Provide support and guidance to junior technicians as required
Requirements of the Mobile Vehicle Technician:
  • Minimum Level 2 automotive qualification or equivalent, or proven time-served experience as a Vehicle Technician
  • Extensive experience working independently in a mobile or roadside environment
  • Knowledge of DPF systems, especially on diesel vehicles, is highly advantageous
  • Clean UK driving licence with minimal points
  • Reliable and well-organised with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to produce high-quality work within a fast-paced environment
  • Motivated team player with good communication skills
  • Basic tools required, with a professional approach to service standards
