HGV / Van Refrigeration Mechanic (F-Gas Qualified)

Location: Wath upon Dearne, Rotherham
Hours: Monday to Friday – 50 hours per week
Salary: Competitive (DOE)

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established business based in Wath upon Dearne that operates a modern fleet of refrigerated vans and HGVs.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced HGV / Van Refrigeration Mechanic to join their team.

You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing refrigeration units fitted to the company's fleet of refrigerated vans and HGVs, ensuring vehicles remain compliant, reliable, and ready for operation.

• Service and maintain transport refrigeration units.
• Diagnose faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment.
• Carry out repairs to refrigeration systems and associated components.
• Complete preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing.
• Fault-find electrical and mechanical issues.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
• Maintain accurate service and repair records.
• Work closely with the workshop team to minimise vehicle downtime.

• F-Gas qualification is essential.
• Previous experience working on commercial vehicle or transport refrigeration systems (Thermo King, Carrier or similar experience is desirable).
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Good understanding of refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK driving licence

• Monday to Friday working pattern.
• 50 hours per week.
