, a boutique financial services recruiting firm is recruiting for an exciting opportunity. An independent financial advisory firm with several locations in Georgia is looking to add a Manager of Finance to their growing team to be based in their Watkinsville, GA location. This role is critical to ensuring the accurate reconciliation, allocation, and reporting of expenses charged by our custodian to our financial advisors.

The Director of Finance will serve as a key partner to leadership, advisors, and operations, ensuring financial transparency, accuracy, and strong internal controls.

• Oversee and perform detailed reconciliation of all expenses charged by custodians, including platform fees, transaction costs, advisory-related charges, and miscellaneous expenses
• Ensure accurate allocation of custodian expenses to individual financial advisors and advisor teams
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between custodian statements, internal records, and advisor charges
• Partner with custodians to clarify billing methodologies, resolve errors, and improve reporting accuracy
• Develop and maintain reconciliation schedules, documentation, and audit trails
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management
• Monitor firm-level and advisor-level profitability, expense trends, and variances
• Provide clear, actionable financial insights to leadership and advisors
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Act as a financial resource for advisors regarding custodian charges and expense allocations
• Clearly explain reconciliations, billing methodologies, and expense impacts to non-financial stakeholders
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve advisor expense transparency and reporting

• Design and maintain strong internal controls around billing, reconciliation, and financial reporting
• Continuously improve reconciliation processes through automation, documentation, and best practices
• Support audits, regulatory inquiries, and due diligence requests related to financial records
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and accounting standards
• Manage and mentor finance or operations staff as applicable
• Collaborate closely with operations, compliance, and technology teams
• Contribute to strategic initiatives as the firm grows and scales

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• 2+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience, preferably in wealth management, RIA, or financial services
• Hands‑on experience reconciling custodian or third‑party financial statements
• Strong understanding of advisor compensation structures and expense allocation
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems
• Experience with Quick Books

• CPA, CFA, or similar professional designation
• Prior leadership or people‑management experience
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to explain complex financial information clearly and concisely
• High level of integrity and ownership
• Process‑oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
