The mortgage department provides the opportunity for our customers to achieve the dream of becoming a home owner.
The Mortgage Loan Closer is a position that performs the duties for the mortgage loan closing from document preparation, funding, accounting to loan purchase.
The Closer is the back end support in the mortgage process. The Closer works closely with the Underwriter, attorneys, loan officers and investors during the loan closing and post loan closing process. The Closer prepares the closing disclosure and closing package within the required TRID time frames and provides to the parties of the transaction as required.
Reviews the closed package for completeness in order to submit the loan for investor purchase and auditors for compliance auditing. The Closer will coordinate obtaining any conditions for closing or post closing review from the investors and tracks receipt of final recorded documents. The Closer also coordinates accounting duties associated with funding, receipt of first payments, loan fees from closings, loan purchases, costs to cure, etc.
This is currently a Part Time position, expecting 20 - 25 hours per week.
RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDING NOT LIMITED TO):
Order title work and schedule loan closings with the attorneys
Provide preliminary closing disclosure to customers
Prepare and provide closing package to the attorneys
Coordinate any necessary revisions of the Closing Disclosure within TRID guidelines
Coordinate Loan funding, receipt of lender fees Ensure that complete closing package with any required conditions has been received from the attorney in a timely manner
Provide closed loan packages to specific investor prior to rate expiration
Obtain signatures for allonges/notes and provide original Notes to the investor
Monitor and review any prior to purchase conditions from the investor
Coordinate with the Underwriting, Loan Officer and Processing in order to fulfill any conditions requested by investorMININUM
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be familiar with general mortgage terms, have ability to recognize and an understanding of documents required in the processing and closing of mortgage loans.
Ability to concentrate in an open and fast-paced environment, have high degree of accuracy and be able to work well under pressure.
Ability to develop relationships with co-workers, attorneys and title companies.
Ability to prioritize, follow instructions, take direction from others and work well alone or in a group.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in business or related study
High attention to detail
Exceptional written and verbal communication
Excellent organization skills.
