Federal Work Study Student
The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a federal work study student in the Dean of Students department on the Oconee campus. The Student Worker in the Dean of Students Office provides administrative, organizational, and customer service support to ensure efficient daily operations. The Student Worker will greet and assist students, faculty, and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner while supporting the daily operations of the office.
The Dean of Students Student Worker will assist with programming initiatives, food pantry operations, and peer-to-peer mentoring efforts that promote student success and engagement. This role supports the overall mission of the DOS Office by fostering a supportive campus environment.
The student worker will take a lead role in planning, coordinating, and executing student engagement events and programming initiatives. They will develop creative ideas for activities that enhance the student experience on the OCN campus and promote events through social media, flyers, and campus communication platforms. Additionally, they will help gather feedback from students to inform and improve future programming efforts.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. They should be dependable, punctual, and capable of working independently while maintaining a high level of responsibility and professionalism.
Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
