Essential Job Accountabilities

  • Comply, understand, and promote safety initiatives to ensure “Safety Before All Else.”
  • Provide excellent customer service by providing general information, answer vendor and division’s questions and work as a contributing team member to Graniterock’s collaborative culture and One Company approach.
  • Sort, organize and scan accounts payable documents for timely payment processing.
  • Identify and resolve daily invoice issues in the Data Serv system to ensure accurate accounting records.
  • Review and reconcile open purchase orders to verify accurate voucher match documentation for payable processing.
  • Provide backup to other Accounts Payables team members to ensure timely completion and compliance with Company policies and General Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Support implemented internal controls to ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Match checks, creating new vendor files, check statements, and request invoices to ensure reliable accounting records.
  • Provide backup support and administrative responsibilities including filing, data entry, sorting of truck tags and reconciling with invoices to maintain efficient workflow for the Accounts Payable team.
  • Education and Work Experience
    • Associate’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent
    • 2-5 years Accounting experience

    Skills and Abilities
    • Working knowledge of account reconciliations for both GL and vendor accounts
    • Accurate and quick data entry
    • General office and 10-key skills
    • Strong communication skills and ability to perform tasks simultaneously while working under pressure.
    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
