Special Education Teacher
Special educators have the unique opportunity to inspire students to achieve their educational, social, emotional, vocational goals and a life of value. Special education services consist of adapting instruction to meet the unique needs of students that cannot be met by modifying the regular instructional program. Special education instruction often incorporates related services to meet the educational needs of the child.

Education:
The district will pay a $7,000 signing bonus to any new hire who fills a vacancy in Special Education in the 2026/27 academic year.
* This supersedes and replaces the current $2,500 signing bonus.
* One-half of the stipend will be paid at the end of the lst semester or equivalent days the employee is employed by PVUSD.
* The second half of the stipend will be paid at the beginning of the second year if the teacher is employed with PVUSD.
* The stipend will be pro-rated for late hires and by FTE.
* Teachers hired on a STSP, PIP, or Waiver will be paid the full amount of the signing bonus at the beginning of their Internship year.
* If a teacher earns their intern credential mid-year, the full stipend amount will be paid at the beginning of the subsequent year.
