Special Education Speech And Language Specialist
Special educators have the unique opportunity to inspire students to achieve their educational, social, emotional, vocational goals and a life of value. Speech and Language Specialists work collaboratively with school personnel in designing and implementing plans for remediation of speech and language problems of students in the district. Special educators help establish a positive learning environment that promotes a high level of achievement for all students while considering the background and developmental level of the individual student.
Requirements/ Qualifications
Valid CA Credential for Special Education authorizing service in Speech and Language Impairment.

- Three Letters of Recommendation
- Copy of Valid CA Credential in Special Education authorizing service in Speech and Language Impairment, CLAD/ELA (or equivalent), with CLAD/ELA (or equivalent) If Intern Credential Eligible, please include University or College documentation CLEARLY stating this information. WHEN HIRED
- ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
* CBEST
* Valid CA Credential-(Preliminary/Clear/Intern)
* Identification
* Social Security Card
* Official Transcripts showing BA issuance date, and any post graduate units
* A fingerprint clearance must be done by our office
* You must submit a TB Test within 45 days of hire
* You must submit a physical within 45 days of hire (Form in HR) 17 years of experience accepted with verification
