GENERAL FUNCTION
The Person al Banker I position will provide an exceptional customer experience by cultivating, maintaining, and enhancing long‑lasting relationships with existing and prospective customers. The role processes teller transactions and works as a member of the platform staff. The banker helps customers understand and address their financial needs, providing solutions across the customer lifecycle through a consultative sales and service process.
The position is responsible for risk management, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and driving a positive customer experience.
- Create a memorable customer experience by cultivating, maintaining, and enhancing relationships in an assigned book of business through proactive outreach in person, over the phone, or other channels.
- Use a consultative approach with current or prospective customers to uncover and identify their needs while tailoring recommendations, solutions, and advice.
- Maintain working knowledge of products, services, and processes offered.
- Work collaboratively with internal partners to ensure customer needs are met and all problems are resolved.
- Analyze customer credit data and other related financial information to ensure customers are in the appropriate solutions that align with their needs.
- Provide customer support needed reinforcing the value of current and new technology.
- Process teller transactions and adhere to balancing guidelines.
- Follow the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other related policies, modeling the ethical behavior expected from every employee.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma/GED and 6 months customer service experience, or a college degree or equivalent military experience.
- Demonstrated ability to develop comfort level with both new household acquisitions and deepening customer relationships.
- Ability to professionally represent Fifth Third Bank in verbal and written communication.
- Exhibits business acumen and the ability to make sound decisions.
- This position requires SAFE Act registration at the time of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).

COMPENSATION & BENEFITSBase Salary: $43,680.00 – $69,900.00 USD (Annual). The Total Rewards package includes comprehensive benefits and differentiated compensation offerings to support the physical, financial, emotional, and social well‑being of employees and their families.
