Summary

We are currently hiring a part‑time Clinician at SSP NEW Withdrawal Management, located in Watsonville. Si Se Puede is a 30‑bed, residential treatment program for individuals who struggle with substance use disorder and mental illness. The facility will have eight withdrawal‑management beds on site. We are looking for professionals with direct experience with our population who can provide consistent, high‑quality clinical interventions utilizing crisis intervention, harm reduction, relapse prevention, trauma‑informed care, and other evidence‑based treatment practices for adults experiencing substance use and co‑occurring disorders.

We need an individual with a trauma‑informed, client‑centered approach and grit, who enjoys the “roll‑up‑your‑sleeves” type of residential work.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct ASAM and psychosocial assessments for those in withdrawal management.
  • Provide diagnosis and determine medical necessity based on assessments.
  • Submit authorizations and requests for services to those who will need continued residential treatment following withdrawal management.
  • Provide “peer‑to‑peer” consultations as needed.
  • Model trauma‑informed interventions for counselors working with clients, including the use of motivational interviewing.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with community partners.
  • Approve documentation, along with completing diagnoses and assisting with clinical daily documentation.
  • Support the team by providing instruction and feedback on clinical documentation and appropriate interventions with persons served.
  • Document services provided to our residents.
Qualifications
  • LMFT, MFT intern, ASW, or LCSW/master’s mental‑health degree leading to licensure.
  • Work experience in a related program with mental health experience, counseling, and group facilitation experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience in electronic health record documentation preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals struggling with substance use, mental illness, varied personalities, and cultures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid California driver's license and clearance for agency vehicle insurance coverage.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English highly desirable.
