This Access Control role includes visible presence, routine patrols, and strong communication to help address security-related concerns. You will monitor access points, verify credentials, and support a professional, welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

What You'll Do:- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site‑specific access control procedures, visitor management processes, and security‑related policies at a healthcare location.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas by verifying identification, authorizing entry, maintaining visitor logs, and helping to deter unauthorized access.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and communicate with hospital personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
- Support a professional environment by assisting with badge checks, directing foot traffic, and reporting suspicious activity, policy violations, and other security‑related concerns.
- Conduct regular and random observations of assigned entry points and surrounding areas, adapting to varying work environments and conditions by location.
- At least 1 year of security‑related experience is required.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
