Sr. Software Engineer (Pune)

Procurant is looking for dynamic and enterprising software professionals to join our team in Pune, India. In this role, you will be responsible for both design and development of our state‑of‑the‑art platform and applications.

• Design, code and implement Java‑based products – both server‑side components and user interface screens.
• Hands‑on development of product features using agile development practices. Full‑stack development and unit testing to ensure quality and functionality goals.
• Collaborate with other engineers to build and deploy solutions.
• Provide production support as and when required.
• Implement best practices, code reviews, design reviews, and performance optimization.

• BE in Computer Science (or equivalent).
• 5–8 years of experience developing enterprise applications using technologies such as:
  • Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Spring REST, Spring Security, JPA, Apache Kafka, Apache Ignite.
  • Angular 11, Angular Material, Angular Flex.
  • RDBMS – MySQL/Oracle.

    SQL DB – Cassandra, MongoDB, Elastic Search.
• Object‑oriented design principles and patterns, experience designing and developing server‑side components/frameworks based on XML/Java.
• Experience in object modeling using UML methodologies/OO modeling tools.
• Experience with development and deployment on Apache Tomcat, JBoss.

• Experience working in a continual build/release agile environment.
• Experience with micro‑services and messaging architectures.

• Excellent team player with good communication skills.
• Very fast learner; strong interest in learning new technology.
• Ability and desire to work in a high‑pressure entrepreneurial environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
• Must be able to work independently without much supervision.

• Exposure to blockchain and IoT technologies.
