Wauconda Community School District 118 Superintendent

The Wauconda Community School District 118 is seeking a highly accomplished, energetic professional to be the district's next leader. With a vision of "Learning for Life - Building Partnerships for Success", the Wauconda Community School District is a Prekindergarten - 12th-grade school system serving nearly 4200 students from Lake County and McHenry County. The school district serves six communities, including Wauconda, Island Lake, Lake Barrington, Lakemoor, Port Barrington, Volo, and unincorporated areas in Wauconda, Algonquin Fremont, and Nunda Townships.

Wauconda CUSD 118 has earned an outstanding reputation for providing high-quality learning opportunities to our students. Our students embark on their education journey with commitment, purpose, and pride. The district is made up of six schools: three elementary schools, two middle schools, and one comprehensive high school. With an annual budget of approximately 80 million dollars, Wauconda D 118 employs a teaching staff of 350 and an administrative staff of 30.

A support staff of 200 secretaries, custodians, bus drivers, classroom aides, and maintenance workers is available to serve our students.

The successful candidate needs to have a proven track record as a responsive and successful leader; must be an effective communicator; demonstrate a strong understanding of school finance; and can demonstrate proven, tangible success in improving the outcomes for students. The new leader will need to be fully invested and committed to the organization's mission: "By building upon partnerships among students, educators, family, and community, District 118 will provide a quality and enriched learning environment where students will become contributing and productive members of society through the commitment to lifelong learning".

Compensation

Salary Range Base salary no less than $240,000 Regionally competitive benefit package
