Dry Blend Packing Operator

The Packaging Operator I is responsible for packaging of flavors (powders, spray-dry, liquids, emulsions, and extracts) per batch ticket instructions. The role works closely with Batch Compounders to package batches with a focus on food safety, quality, efficiency, and accuracy. Production orders are filled from equipment such as mixers, spray dryers and blending tanks, ensuring correct packaging, labeling, and safety procedures.

• Pack production batches and monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Record production and other data accurately on specified forms and documents.
• Follow sanitary guidelines for CIP and cleaning.
• Transfer materials, set up equipment, supplies and packaging materials efficiently.
• Learn and understand food safety concepts and their importance in product quality.
• Promptly observe and communicate food or product quality matters to Shift Leads or Management.
• Perform assigned duties in a safe manner and according to company safety policies.
• Complete duties without errors or other defects.

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience operating with RF scanners and accurately reporting batch quantities.
• Strong attention to detail and basic math skills.
• Ability to manually lift 50 lb continuously when necessary.
• Knowledge of safety requirements, forklift policy, and ability to wear required PPE.
• Problem-solving and communication skills to identify and report problems.
• Availability to work overtime when necessary.
