Position SummaryThis position supports the Flavor Creation team and R&D functions including Applications and Samples Teams.
Responsibilities- Accurately compound experimental formulas under the direction of flavorists.
- Execute laboratory experiments, monitor equipment, control temperatures, and maintain consistency of mixes.
- Ensure consistency in prepared compositions and report any inconsistencies or formulation issues to flavorists.
- Transfer materials and set up equipment per SOP.
- Obtain raw materials, record item description and lot number, and coordinate with procurement when necessary.
- Perform duties safely in accordance with the company’s safety policies.
- Fill, label, and pack flavor samples for customers.
- Prepare shipping paperwork for hazardous and non‑hazardous samples shipped via UPS / Fed‑Ex.
- Maintain pilot plant equipment, keep the laboratory clean and organized, and manage the sample library.
- Ensure adequate inventory of packaging and shipping supplies.
- Care, handle, maintain and clean laboratory equipment and workspace.
- Maintain stocks of laboratory glassware and supplies.
- Prepare tasting solutions for evaluation and participate in taste panels.
- Follow safety, quality and GMP policies.
- Perform other general laboratory and project‑related responsibilities as required.
- High School Diploma or GED required;
Associate’s degree in Applied Science or BS preferred. - 0–3 years of experience.
- Basic mathematics skills (multiplication, division, addition, percentages, unit conversions).
- Ability to work overtime and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work accurately, quickly, and with good laboratory practices.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, multitask, and handle pressure while remaining flexible.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to report safety or quality issues.
- Proficiency with scales, accurate tare, and unit of measure requirements.
- Adaptability to changing priorities and support multiple projects within a day.
- Positive attitude, team player, engaging, and able to communicate ideas effectively.
Pay Range: $23–$30 per hour. Compensation is based on geography, skills, education, experience, and other factors.
