Your Role in Synergy's Success1st shift Liquids Material Handler How You Will Contribute
Position Summary:
The Material Handler performs a variety of picking, staging, and organizing tasks. This position is to provide full support to the production and warehouse team and will have a complete and working understanding of the production and shipping schedule.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Pick and stage Extraction, Blending, and Packaging materials to the point of use Determine designated areas for delivery of items to each location in the plant and return of these items after production has been completed
Determine designated areas for finished goods within the freezer, cooler, and warehouse from each of the three departments.
Responsible for the organization, rotation, picking, and putting away of all refrigerated materials
Management of all recycled items (cardboard and poly drums) including, but not limited to proper disposal/storage once collapsed/cleaned by production and use is complete.
Clear and concise communication with the production team regarding future needs and the current schedule.
Development in determining the best route to run over time and document best practices including duration, stops, and stocking levels of material on the production floor.
Assistance during the busy season of agricultural production runs and delivery.
Tracking of skid usage and maintaining a minimum for production use as well as managing skids to be returned for recycling.
Assist in tracking consumption and use of production supplies such as tape and shipping corrugate as well as working closely with the inventory lead in cycle counts.
Assist the labs in sample collections for projects.
Disposal of trash in a timely manner
Maintain the warehouse and the back-parking lot in an orderly fashion keeping areas accessible and free of clutter.
Required
Skills and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED, documentation skills, math skills with at least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing ingredient plant preferred.
Forklift experience as well as stand up double reach trucks.
Strong organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience working in a GMP, Food Safety work environment with a complete understanding of warehouse activities.
Strong focus on customer commitment.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Must follow safety requirements and ensure the production team follows the PPE requirements (safety shoes, safety glasses, face shield and respirator).Starting Salary : $17.00/HR Monday - Friday 6a-2:30pThe actual compensation that you will be offered will depend on a variety of factors including geography, skills and abilities, education, experience and other relevant factors. This role will remain open until filled.
