Your Role in Synergy's Success1st shift Liquids Material Handler
Position SummaryThe Material Handler performs picking, staging, and organizing tasks to support the production and warehouse teams. The role requires a thorough understanding of the production and shipping schedule.
Roles and Responsibilities- Pick and stage Extraction, Blending, and Packaging materials to the point of use.
- Determine designated areas for delivery of items to each location in the plant and return of these items after production has been completed.
- Determine designated areas for finished goods within the freezer, cooler, and warehouse from each of the three departments.
- Organize, rotate, pick, and put away all refrigerated materials.
- Manage all recycled items (cardboard and poly drums), including proper disposal/storage once collapsed/cleaned by production and use is complete.
- Communicate clearly with the production team regarding future needs and the current schedule.
- Develop and document the best route to run over time, including duration, stops, and stocking levels of material on the production floor.
- Assist during the busy season of agricultural production runs and delivery.
- Track skid usage and maintain a minimum for production use, managing skids to be returned for recycling.
- Track consumption and use of production supplies such as tape and shipping corrugate, working closely with the inventory lead in cycle counts.
- Assist the labs in sample collections for projects.
- Dispose of trash in a timely manner.
- Maintain the warehouse and the back‑parking lot in an orderly fashion, keeping areas accessible and free of clutter.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing ingredient plant.
- Forklift experience and ability to operate stand‑up double reach trucks.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working in a GMP, Food Safety environment with a full understanding of warehouse activities.
- Strong focus on customer commitment.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills.
- Adherence to safety requirements and ensuring the production team follows PPE requirements (safety shoes, safety glasses, face shield, and respirator).
$17.00 per hour, Monday to Friday, 6:00AM – 2:30PM. Compensation may vary based on geography, skills, education, and experience.
