Position SummaryThe Packaging Operator I works the 2nd shift, responsible for packaging powders, spray‑dry, liquids, emulsions and extracts. The role collaborates closely with Batch Compounders to package batches with food safety, quality, efficiency and accuracy priorities. Responsibilities include filling production orders from mixers, spray dryers and blending tanks, reading and applying labels, and following safety procedures.
Roles and Responsibilities- Pack production batches and monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Record production and other data accurately on specified forms and documents.
- Follow sanitary guidelines for CIP and cleaning.
- Transfer materials, set up equipment, supplies and packaging materials efficiently.
- Learn and understand food safety concepts and their importance in making our products.
- Promptly observe and clearly communicate food or other product quality matters to Shift Leads or Management.
- Consistently perform assigned duties in a safe manner and in accordance with the company’s safety policies.
- Consistently perform and complete assigned duties without errors or other defects.
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
- Consume required materials using RF scanner and accurately report batch quantities.
- Attention to detail and ability to perform basic mathematics.
- Ability to manually lift 50 lbs continuously when necessary.
- Follow safety requirements, forklift policy and wear required PPE.
- Ability to problem‑solve and communicate when something is wrong and to recognize and report the problem.
- Ability to work overtime when necessary.
- Ability to learn and consistently follow operational and cleaning procedures.
- Ability to learn and consistently complete required documentation and record‑keeping requirements.
