Position SummaryThe Applications Technologist II specializes in the development of a wide variety of food or beverage products. You will join a team of technologists that have developed some of the market leading beverage products.
Responsibilities- Develop and optimize finished product formulation using various flavor delivery systems.
- Write production formulas with batching instructions and have them peer reviewed.
- Participate in routine taste panels to understand flavor language.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally on major projects to contribute to winning submissions.
- Work on projects with ambiguity and execute them with support of a senior applications technologist.
- Provide technical support to customers during demos and presentations with account managers.
- Stay current with new ingredients, flavor trends, and changes to industry standards.
- Bachelor of Science in Food Science or other applied science.
- 5 or more years of application lab experience in beverage product development.
- Strong laboratory practices, with ability to work accurately and quickly across multiple projects.
- Good documentation skills and adeptness at working within programs such as Excel, Word & assorted databases.
- Positive attitude, team player, engaging, and able to communicate thoughts and ideas effectively.
$68,000 – $92,000 (actual compensation will depend on geography, skills, experience and other factors).
