The Analytical Chemist’s primary responsibility is to perform analytical testing of volatile and non‑volatile components in foods, beverages, flavors, extracts, and essences, and to support the development and validation of methods for testing them. The role heavily supports Research & Development, Quality Control, and Operations. It requires entry‑level knowledge of advanced analytical techniques used in the food and flavor industry and involves collaboration with international colleagues.

• Perform analytical testing of volatile and non‑volatile components in foods, beverages, flavors, extracts and essences using GC-FID/MS and HPLC.
• Support the development, optimization, and validation of analytical testing methods.
• Prepare SOPs and reports as needed.
• Carry out routine checks and, under supervision, perform regular maintenance on analytical instrumentation.
• Design and execute laboratory experiments as instructed by manager.
• Analyze experimental results and generate technical reports.
• Clearly communicate findings to key stakeholders throughout all project phases.
• Maintain detailed records of experimental materials, methods and results.

• BS degree in Analytical Chemistry, Food Science or related discipline required;
  Master’s degree or higher is a plus.
• Minimum of 1+ year(s) experience in the food / flavor industry with practical application of scientific methods preferred.
• Demonstrated experience working with analytical instrumentation, particularly GC-FID/MS and HPLC.
• Knowledge of laboratory terminology, equipment, materials, procedures, and fundamental methods related to flavor chemistry and food science.
• Ability to use scientific principles to solve problems and determine the tools, equipment and methods needed to complete assigned tasks.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and support multiple projects within any given day.
• Must be able to work accurately, efficiently and using good laboratory practices.
• Strong analytical acumen, organization skills and attention to detail.
• Positive attitude, team player, self‑starter, and effective communicator.

$56,000 to $76,000. The actual compensation offered will depend on geography, skills, education, experience and other relevant factors.
