Assignment begins at the beginning of the school year when teachers return to work, on or about August 17, 2026.

Compensation: $165/day (partial days paid on hourly basis). Daily rate. Starting 15th day, rate moves to $246.94 per day.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current Iowa License (teaching or substitute teaching).
• 5-12 All Science endorsement, preferred.
• Experience in a special education classroom, preferred.

General Responsibilities: Acting within the substitute handbook, performs duties of the absent classroom teacher. The substitute teacher is responsible for providing instruction and managing the learning environment. The position reports to the building principal or designee at the location to which they are assigned.
