Job Description Position Criteria- Iowa Teaching License, preferred
- Demonstrate aptitude for performing tasks listed
- Must exhibit ethical practices and be a role model to students.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
- Has an understanding of the teaching-learning process and the necessity of working with the students.
- Knowledgeable about FBLA– goals, purposes, structure, bylaws, educational initiatives, etc.
- Provide leadership development experiences for all members of the chapter.
- Assist students in developing a meaningful Program of Work and Calendar of Events.
- Complete membership requirements per state and national guidelines such as ensuring student enrollment and membership fee payments.
- Oversee all functions of the local chapter such as chapter meetings, maintain records and financials, election of officers, fundraising activities, etc.
- Keep school board and administration, local businesses, community, parents, teachers, school staff, and local media informed of chapter activities.
- Establish a link between the local chapter and business community.
- Keep chapter members informed of FBLA activities at the regional, state, and national levels and encourage them to participate in all levels of FBLA.
- Be committed to each student, welcome the diversity, and be a positive role model in actions and deeds.
- Organize District/Regional, State, and National leadership trips which will include arranging for travel, supervision of students, timely submission of all requests for prior approval, submission of conference requests in a timely fashion, collection and security of funding.
- Travel with students to leadership conferences and activities.
