As a Captive Executive at IC, you will be responsible for achieving sales goals to grow revenues profitably by adding to a book of business with new clients, growing and maintaining relationships with agency partners, and guiding our captives to achieve optimal financial performance while supporting our mission of delivering exceptional service to our clients.
Essential Responsibilities- Actively generate new sales leads through qualified sales calls and meetings, building new agency partner relationships, resulting in achieving or exceeding sales goals.
- Provide captive education and consulting for existing captive clients and agency partners, as well as prospective clients and partners.
- Maintain relationships with clients and address their business needs, delivering documents as appropriate.
- Attend all sales‑related activities, promoting a positive attitude in support of agency changes and growth.
- Plan and participate in captive quarterly calls and member meetings.
- Serve as Captive Lead on group captive programs and act as a liaison between agency partners, clients, and vendor partnerships.
- Work closely with various disciplines within IC to drive strategic direction, insight, and vision for the captive.
- Maintain professional and consultative relationships with various committees within the captive.
- Develop Captive Consultants and Business Development Coordinators to enhance their knowledge and responsibilities.
- Ensure overall team accountability for commitments made to customers, encouraging and coaching others to build healthy, high‑functioning teams through influence.
- Education:
College degree preferred. - Experience:
2+ years of employee benefits sales experience. - Licensing:
Hold appropriate state‑specific Insurance Agent’s License, or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire. - Skills & Technical
Competencies:
Strong sales skills with a proven process to meet or exceed goals, advanced public communication skills, excellent written communication skills, proficiency with advanced technology, including Salesforce. Must travel with own vehicle up to 50% of the time.

Compensation is based on several factors, including but not limited to education, work experience, and industry certifications. Total compensation is commensurate based on the book of business. We offer base salary plus commissions-style compensation structure as well as opportunities for growth and advancement, including the chance to become a stakeholder in our business.
