Automotive Sales Associate

Join the team at Shottenkirk Chevrolet Waukee as an Automotive Sales Associate, where you will play a key role in connecting customers with the perfect vehicle to meet their needs. In this position, you will engage with customers, provide expert knowledge on our product lineup, and deliver outstanding customer service to help drive sales and build long‑lasting relationships.

• Greet and engage customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Perform comprehensive product presentations and demonstrations for new and pre‑owned vehicles.
• Understand customers’ needs and recommend suitable vehicles and financing options.
• Negotiate sales terms and complete sales agreements in compliance with company policies.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of automotive products, promotions, and pricing.
• Collaborate with the sales team and other departments to ensure a seamless sales process.
• Follow up with customers post‑sale to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
• Offer assistance or direction to any customer who enters the car dealership.
• Assist customers in making a purchase decision by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses and needs.
• Work directly with employees and customers to develop relationships and help enhance the sales process.
• Explain product performance, application, and benefits to prospective customers.
• Report to the Sales Manager regarding objectives, planned activities, reviews, and analyses.

• Previous experience in automotive sales or a related customer service role preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple customer interactions simultaneously.
• Motivated self‑starter with a strong desire to achieve sales goals.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Basic computer proficiency for managing sales documentation and customer records.
• Enthusiasm and high energy throughout the sales workday.
• Friendly, competitive personality, especially when handling objections and negotiating pricing.
• Strong customer service, communication skills, computer and basic math skills.
• Interest in training additional sales associates once you get up to speed and working in a team environment.
• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license (included above).
