Van Maanen Electric operates largely throughout Central Iowa, with job sites ranging from large commercial, underground, light industrial, and service work. We are affiliated with the ABC of Iowa apprenticeship program, which means all of our employees have the opportunity to enroll in this four year program and obtain their Journeyman electrical license. Requirements:

• Must be able to pass a drug screen/physical/ extensive work fit test as well as a background check
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and means of transportation
• Strong work ethic/attitude
• Ability to take direction
• Must be able to lift 100 lbs at times
• Ability to work alone as well as in a team setting
• Ability to work long hours, and show up on time every day

Job Duties:

• Pulling wire
• Bending conduit
• Installing light fixtures
• Wiring devices
• Reading blueprints
• Digging trenches
• Demoing old electrical materials
• Being on a commercial construction site
