The Accountant will maintain the Illinois Department of Agriculture's receivables collection and reporting system, process daily cash receipts from operating programs, and handle accounts payable review and reconciliation. This is a full-time position based in Springfield working within the accounting team to support the Department's fiscal operations.
Key qualifications- Four years of college with courses in business administration and accounting, or four years of technical accounting experience
- Knowledge of receivables collection and reporting systems
- Ability to process cash receipts and perform deposit functions
- SAP report reconciliation and accounts payable review skills
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel
