Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract opportunity is available for a School Psychologist in Vernon Hills, IL, serving two schools housed within a single building:
Townline Elementary School and the School of Dual Language. This position spans from March 19 to June 2 and is based on-site to comply with union guidelines, with no virtual services offered.
Key responsibilities include supporting diverse student populations through psychological assessments, interventions, and collaboration with educators and families to promote student success. The candidate will need to manage caseloads effectively while providing expertise in behavioral and academic evaluation, crisis intervention, and consultation.
Work Schedule:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday: 8:15 AM 3:45 PM
- Wednesday: 8:15 AM 4:00 PM
- The school is open to candidates interested in part-time work (2-3 days per week), ideal for those seeking flexibility.
Preferred Qualifications and
Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification and relevant experience in K-12 educational settings.
- Strong assessment and intervention skills tailored to diverse student needs.
- Bilingual Spanish skills are highly desirable but not required.
- Ability to work collaboratively with school staff, families, and community resources.
- Understanding of special education law and psychological best practices.
- Commitment to in-person, on-site service provision in alignment with union policies.
