We are seeking a highly motivated Private Equity Associate to join a Chicago-based investment firm focused on the consumer and food & beverage sectors. The Associate will play a key role in evaluating investment opportunities, executing transactions, and supporting portfolio company growth initiatives. • Evaluate and execute investment opportunities across consumer and food & beverage sectors
• Build and maintain complex financial models (LBO, operating models, valuation analyses)
• Conduct industry research and market diligence to support investment theses
• Participate in all phases of the deal lifecycle, including sourcing, diligence, execution, and portfolio monitoring
• Prepare investment committee materials, presentations, and deal documentation
• Coordinate with management teams, advisors, lenders, and other stakeholders throughout the transaction process
• Support portfolio companies by analyzing performance, tracking KPIs, and assisting with strategic initiatives
• Monitor industry trends and identify potential add‑on acquisition opportunities

• 3-5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or transaction advisory
• Strong transaction experience, ideally with exposure to M&A and/or leveraged finance
• Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills
• Demonstrated interest in consumer and/or food & beverage sectors
• Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills
• High level of attention to detail and ability to manage multiple work streams
• Proven ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment

• Experience covering consumer, retail, food & beverage, or related sectors
• Familiarity with buy‑and‑build strategies and middle‑market transactions
• Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, or a related field with strong academic performance
