- Greets and welcomes customers and potential customers and directs them to the appropriate bank staff.
- Answers incoming phone calls, transfers calls, and takes messages when necessary.
- Processes and distributes incoming mail.
- Coordinates interoffice deliveries.
- Listens effectively to customers’ requests and promptly takes the necessary action to assist them.
- Answers customer questions and provides general information on banking services and policies.
- Tracks hazard and flood insurance coverage; obtains updated evidence of insurance from agents.
- Completes account verifications & payoff letters.
- Performs clerical and administrative services for loan staff as needed.
- Takes the initiative to follow-up, escalates, or seeks additional resources to ensure customer satisfaction in a timely manner.
- Escalates issues immediately and takes necessary steps to prevent and/or minimize loss to the bank.
- Protects the Bank and its customers by maintaining a high level of security awareness.
- Follows all department policies and procedures to meet Bank, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Can troubleshoot and resolve technical problems and communicate issues to management and the IS department.
- Accepts coaching, implements feedback from reviews to improve job performance.

Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.
Physical DemandsProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time non-exempt position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 am-5:00 pm.

RequiredEducation and Experience
- 2-3 years of customer service experience.
- 1 year of clerical and data entry experience.
- 1-2 years reception experience preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to promote a positive image of the bank.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and tact in stressful situations.
- Models positive and supportive behavior.
- Flexible work schedule.
