About The Position
The Senior OEM Program Manager serves as the primary business point of contact for OEM clients, managing the work request pipeline, facilitating meetings, and resolving issues while identifying new opportunities. This role partners closely with internal teams—Technology, Product, Operations, Marketing, and Sales—to ensure successful delivery of program strategy, growth, and technical initiatives.
Functions OfThe Role
- Lead and manage a portfolio of multiple medium‑sized or individual large‑sized OEM programs, focusing on business growth, opportunity development, technology innovation, client and partner relationship stability, and operational excellence.
- Consult, advise, and recommend software, technical, and digital strategies for clients through regular virtual and in‑person engagements, staying knowledgeable on industry trends and product offerings.
- Maintain close working partnerships with external and internal leaders across functional areas to drive continuous communication cadence of all program initiatives.
- In partnership with the Technical Program Manager, manage task intake from OEM clients, including shared alignment on request triage, scope definition, outcomes, dev‑hour allotments or budget, and setting of clear timeline and deliverable expectations.
- Communicate updates and maintain accurate status assessments on project progress to OEM clients and internal stakeholders.
- Initiate and collaborate on goals for OEM programs aligned with business and technical objectives, measuring and communicating progress.
- Understand health scores and satisfaction across all programs, identify areas for improvement, and resolve issues in collaboration with technical teams.
- Apply change, risk, and resource management to balance program needs and evolve operations through partnership with internal departments.
- Lead across program and projects to maintain strategy and process for continuous client and program performance improvements, including analysis of actionable insights from aggregated performance data.
- Maintain a roadmap of program business strategy and client‑requested projects, partnering with leadership and the Technical Program Manager to guide prioritization and resource distribution, and reporting progress and risk/opportunity analysis to leadership.
- Maintain program profitability (revenue vs. cost) and opportunity, providing regular updates and tracking.
- Collaborate with leadership to create and refine strategic objectives within current and future programs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Program Brand and compliance requirements, technical integration and specifications, contract terms, performance SLAs, product performance reporting deliverables, billing reconciliations, governance, and market‑share trending.
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, digital marketing, computer science, software engineering, technology/project management, or similar practical experience.
- 3-5+ years of experience in program, product, or project management or similar roles.
- Prior business‑to‑business experience with OEMs or large dealer groups.
- Record of managing high‑value accounts/programs, preferably within the automotive industry.
- Proficiency in program, product, project management, and SDLC methodologies.
- Strong ability to balance stakeholders through negotiation and organizational savvy.
- Experience managing people and leading through influence of others.
- Experience managing executive‑level or high‑value accounts with excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to understand client needs.
- Outstanding presentation, communication, and delivery skills to engage clients and team members; ability to present over the phone and in person.
- Fast learner with willingness to embrace changing software, technical, and digital marketing landscapes, and strong problem‑solving capability.
- Strong organizational and process skills, able to execute a roadmap and plan.
- Ability to understand technical tasks in a variety of software applications, tech stacks, and systems, with experience collaborating with software development teams.
