Job Description

CSCI Consulting is seeking an experienced SAP Functional Consultant – Finance & Logistics (FI/CO/FM/SD) to support a mission‑critical SAP S/4

HANA transformation within a Department of War environment. This role will support the design, configuration, implementation, and sustainment of enterprise financial and logistics capabilities, enabling integrated operations across finance, supply chain, and transportation domains.

You will partner with government stakeholders, business process owners, and technical teams to modernize financial and logistics processes in support of mission requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Configure and support SAP S/4

    HANA functionality across Finance & Logistics modules (FI, CO, FM, SD)
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional designs, system configurations, and specifications
  • Support end-to-end business processes including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, asset accounting, budgeting, and sales order management
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to improve financial controls, reporting, and logistics operations
  • Participate in Fit-to-Standard workshops, business process reengineering, and solution design sessions
  • Develop functional design documents (FDDs) and process documentation; prepare specifications for RICEFW objects
  • Partner with technical teams (e.g., ABAP) to support custom enhancements and integrations
  • Support master data governance and data migration activities for financial and logistics data
  • Perform testing (unit, SIT, UAT), defect resolution, and production support activities
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and support deployment, release management, and system stabilization
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business, Logistics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of SAP functional experience in one or more areas: FI, CO, FM, or SD
  • Experience implementing or supporting SAP S/4

    HANA
  • Strong understanding of enterprise financial management and logistics processes
  • Experience developing functional specifications for SAP enhancements
  • Experience supporting testing, production support, and system enhancements
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
  • Creativity and adaptability in problem-solving
  • Ability to work with clients to understand their needs
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional presence
Preferred Skills
  • Active Secret clearance
  • Experience supporting DoD ERP modernization programs
  • Experience with SAP Activate methodology and Agile delivery
  • Experience integrating FI/CO/FM/SD with SAP modules (MM, TM, EWM, EAM, GTS)
  • Experience with SAP Fiori applications
  • Familiarity with SAP Cloud ALM or Solution Manager
  • Experience supporting transportation and logistics operations in DoD environments
  • Certifications (Preferred): SAP S/4

    HANA Financial Accounting (FI) certification, SAP Management Accounting (CO) or Sales (SD) certification, SAP S/4

    HANA Finance or Logistics certification, Agile certifications (Scrum, SAFe), Security+
  • Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
  • Strong customer and vendor relationship skills
  • Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies
  • Motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value
  • Past experience working with a Federal agency
  • Department of War experience is a plus!
